Confidentiality

All coaching conversations remain confidential between the Coach and the Client.

Exceptions include:

  • Concerns over safeguarding and legal or ethical violations. In this case, we would discuss an appropriate course of action.

  • Explicit consent from and/or request by the Client to share specific information with specific individuals.

Data Handling

As part of the credentialing and professional compliance process required by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the Coach maintains a coaching log that includes the names and email addresses of clients. This log is submitted solely for verification purposes as part of the ICF credentialing or renewal process.

The Coach is committed to ensuring that all client information is handled in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.

The Coach will:

  • Record the Client’s name and email address, only.

  • Store the log in a secure digital file.

  • Retain the log only for the period required by the ICF for the credentialing or renewal purposes, after which it will be permanently deleted.

  • Adhere to all UK GDPR Law, where the Client retains the right to access, rectify or request erasure of their personal data at any time and the right to lodge a complaint if they believe their data is being misused.
